Feindel was one of the first women to study design at the Lowell Textile School, Lowell, Mass. She was later employed at American Mills Company, Waterbury, Conn. The diary begins Feb. 6, 1913, continues to June 31, 1913, then entries for Aug. 29, 1915, May-June 1917, last entry April 11, 1919. Pages torn out after the Aug. 29, 1915 entry. It appears between 1913 and 1915 or 1917 that she married, Phil Johnson Hewitt, and has a son, Philomen. The 1913 entries are of school and social activities. She writes of her first position with the Union Webbing Co. and being recruited by the American Mills Company. The later entries are of family and household, gardening, and farm activities. Laid in is a clipping about a weavers' strike at Union Webbing Co. in 1913, a graduation program from the Lowell Textile School (not hers), 2 music programs, 2 dog licenses.
